Easter 2008

Monday, March 24th, 2008

Hi,Hope you all had a great Easter.

I feel I have risen again at the moment not quite that biblical, but in my own small way.

Things have been quite hard and we have taken the decision to sell Keran’s car to help make mends meet, but it came as a shock we might have to pay to get rid off it.

So if anyone wants a Renault Megane Scenic 7 Seat let me know! Its on Iain Bay (I was thinking of taking on E Bay to make some serious cash). It is Mud Earth Brown colour, but if you add water it will also be seen in Silver!

It has an onboard computer, but plugging it in whilst you drive is a pain, I have gone through countless extension cables. It has been a reliable car and is very flexible in its layout, the two back seats fold flat, there not supposed to but they do (only kidding they ARE meant to).

As Keran’s wage has long since gone I was thinking of asking wealthy experts to help us out, they seem to be doing well. The fundraising cash is mainly to help fund the legal fight in the event of us not getting anymore legal aid and when the legal team have to start charging they can only do so much work for free.

We have also had to think of coming up with money raising ideas to keep myself and the boys in the house, so far we have come up with ideas for a bank job, but then saw the state of the world markets and thought maybe even robbing banks isn’t likely to be profitable!

As the family name has been tainted by the experts, the investigators (both terms used tongue in cheek) and the persecutors (nuff said). Why not turn to crime, but then thought, why should I, but myself through waiting 2 and a half years like Keran did while they put a case together…I can’t be hanging around for experts to be reinstated.

So its legal activities only. So I was thinking of doing self defence courses for Mums and maybe kids. Also kids parties on certain themes. Let me know via Carers4carers if your interested and I will let you know if we get enough interest to give it a go. I am also willing to do talks on various subjects to interested groups (at huge cost if to experts)!

I have also started transferring the Court Diary I kept, into a more useable book format, the Next Harry Potter it won’t be, but hopefully it will help others who are or may be where we are in the future. Although we want to make sure it becomes highly unlikely to happen to anyone else. The triad seems to get more an more discredited or added to, to make it more believable, lets hope unless any allegation is proved beyond all reasonable doubt, innocent people will not be thrown in jail.

Talking of writing Keran is now back to being nearly a month behind in replying to letters. So hang on in there if you are waiting for a reply! She loves receiving your letters, she got 11 yesterday, me too, but mainly addressed to Bills or from someone called Bill. It never said Bill Who?

I was thinking of getting a sugar mummy, but someone misheard me and got me a sugar dummy. With friends like that, what can you do?! But its an important food group sugar, along with chocolate…bring on the Easter Eggs!

It was sad to see that someone following us on the campaign trail round Westminster recently was the bravest of the brave, the Ghurkhas were handing their medals in as they are not allowed to stay in the UK after serving the UK and risking their lives!

Makes you proud doesn’t it!

The PM said if it was after 1997 they could stay, so those who fought in the Falklands and all the other conflicts they have been in, won’t get a look in! I have done some work with Ghurkhas and ex Ghurkhas, they are always smiling and so smart! They even make Camouflage Cream look good. If you get a chance there is an online petition or two relating to them 10 Downing Street website - Petitions - Search Results will get you to them. Finally I started back at work and its nice to be back into the swing of things. Its a job that I have found more rewarding than any other I have ever done (except the Peace Corp stuff and being a Premier League Footballer).

I started back at the Reading office although I may travel around a bit later on. Whilst walking over to the office I noticed some good news and that is Reading Crown Court has definitely replaced the ‘O’s in Crown Court that had been nicked. I wonder if it was the ‘O’ Liberation front (OLF)? Whilst working in London in the Old Bill, we used to have a similar problem with the RLF better known as the Rolex Liberation Front. They would free oppressed Rolex’s from the wrists of those who could afford them. They wouldn’t nick knock offs though……

Actually one more thing I saw recently was Heather Mills got £2.43, at a recent court settlement with Paul McCartney. Which is about what we will get in compensation, minus £2 tax and 43p surcharge! Please don’t think we will get any, but that’s not the point I want to make right now.

I was one of quite a few officers that turned up to Heathers tragic accident on Kensington Gore. So I have always followed her (no not stalking) in the papers, to see how she was getting on. I know she gets a hard time at times, (we have tasted the worst sort of headlines too) but to say her daughter will only get £34,000 a year was not a wise move, that’s more than a lot of troops I know, nurses, cops etc. If only I had a bit of that £2.43 it would be good …’sorry…. you what it was MILLIONs’! £24,300,000!

What’s that in old money?

But money isn’t everything folks, if you have your health, your family, friends and time for others, your rich indeed.

It could be worse you could be a Ghurkha! Don’t forget to vote for the Ghurkhas! Support your forces!

Stay safe

Iain

Hello again readers,

Just been watching the local news and I see Reading Crown Court was in the news again an accused person managed to escape from the dock, two others failed but the other got clean away. He was there on Firearms charges, sadly an Officer was assaulted in the escape process.

I mention this escape as it was during Keran’s trial we heard of another suspect who escaped. It caused a bit of excitement in the boring period when the Prosecution had their paid mercenaries on the stand.

The suspect ran out saying I’m free, I’m free apparently.

Maybe we should have done that with Keran! Just got her to run out.

The other sad news was that a young lad, whose story I remember as it really touched me at the time, he was a young army cadet, who happened to pick up a torch left in his army barracks, the torch was bobby trapped, it blew his hand off, caused him hearing problems and removed the sight from his only one good eye.

He has recently been told the compensation will only cover the loss of his one good eye, the fact he can’t see now at all doesn’t count! Maybe the IRA will help out? They set the bomb? Well, CIRA…

Maybe as part of the Peace process they can help this young man who doesn’t seem to complain about his lot and gets on. As I have said before there are heroes all around us. But like the soldiers of old (and not so old) who have to sell their medals to support themselves. Maybe our land needs to stand up and take a bloody good look at its self.

Gunmen can flee our courts, young men can be maimed by terrorists and we don’t do anything to help them. Yet as I type now Sports Relief is back on showing we can make a difference, but why just one day a year?

Finally on Kerans case I see that the CCTV footage of a young child being shaken by someone, obviously a horrible offence for which they deserve punishment, but what matters to Keran is that there was no symptoms, the Triad was NOT there….hmmm wonder what the experts made of that.

Mind you another horrendous case of awful, truly awful abuse, where the accused admitted to the Police of what they did…which included dropping the child, shaking the child and worse (God bless the little ones in both cases). But even after the abuse over three weeks, all admitted to, there was NO TRIAD OF INJURIES!

It makes me ask, WHAT THE HELL ARE THESE EXPERTS THINKING?

Cake, Eat it and get paid for it too……

Time to tip up their trough me thinks!

We need to wake up and shake up these experts and the system that allows them to get away with it.

Hello to all our readers old and new,

It has been a busy week again, the phone rang off the hook the last few days, blooming wrong numbers, anyway there has been lots of interest in Keran’s case.

We have had so many e-mail’s from people who have suffered at the hands of experts, some still wait painfully to clear their names, and we hope that this happens soon, when they get it wrong they should be brave enough to stand up and put their hands up and say, ‘yeap we got it wrong …. sorry’.

But no.

Lets hope we can change that soon. After all this week, one of the worst miscarriages of justice, has a very sad anniversary, it will be a year since Sally Clark died. No one was really punished for what they did to Sally….

I watched Panorama the other evening and found it very interesting, I would have liked to see the same size crash test dummy used in Norway and the States, to see if there was a huge difference then. But it shows doubt, and I though cases had to be beyond reasonable doubt?

Which brings me to a Professor wheeled out to stand up for SBS. He stated they look for the Triad. Which after listening to him earlier on Radio 5 Live he said the Triad, plus bruises, Fractures (and I think on another show, mentioned Cigarette burns).

That made me think

1. There was no Cig marks
2. No fractures
3. No Grip Marks or multiple bruises
4. He said possibly bleeding at the back of the eyes
5. Maeve’s Bridging veins were intact
6. No bleeding over the brain when first brought into hospital (Wayney Squiers)

But then what do I know, no one pays me for my evidence. But what it shows is how things can change, even from one expert in a short period.

Professor Stephenson raised a good point on 5 LIve saying he didn’t like the term Shaken Baby Syndrome as it implies they know the exact mechanism, which of course they would have to have been there to truly know - and of course they weren’t there. He prefers Non Accidental Injury which of course is much more open, as it should be.

Like in our case they tried SBS then dropped in Sudden Impact too, that left it open too. It also shows maybe they didn’t have a clue what went on and gave both a run, to get a result. Which of course worked with the jury.

Also said was how if a Child was clothed and swaddled you wouldn’t get fingerprints…I don’t recall that ever being possible on most clothes, DNA yes, but not prints. Maybe he meant grip marks?

So now they may want you to believe, you lose your temper, but wrap your victim up, then shake as to leave no marks. Tell the witnesses available in the house not to come in. Carry out the alleged assault and then find a soft surface to throw your victim on?

Do they truly expect people to buy into this? Thirty years ago they said you could catch AIDS by breathing the same air, or holding hands…they know more now. Maybe in SBS they will stop seeing all parents and carers as Child abusers?

Anyone I guess is capable of horrible things we have seen the Police Officer who murdered his wife, Dr Shipman and all his countless victims, we have the Jersey case bubbling up on the horizon were Social/care workers etc may become suspects.

But to say people totally, TOTALLY, out of character lose their tempers, in Keran’s case over a soiled nappy, especially after one child did numbers two’s all the way down our brand new stair carpet (to which she just laughed) is a cheap shot to justify an even more ludicrous theory.

I get the feeling sometimes, looking at the Body language and the tone used in Panorama and on other shows that the ‘experts’ are the only ones that care about Child Abuse, don’t know about you, but I don’t know many PRO Child abuse sites? Yes, sure there are the highly illegal sites and Thank God the ’swirly faced’ Paedophile looks set to be brought to justice for what he has allegedly been upto. But to cast a shadow on the majority of society and especially Parents and Carers seems to go against Innocent until proven guilty. But then we know that’s how these cases work now, you have to prove your not guilty.

Following on from Panorama, I went on the Matthew Wright show, on Channel 5, were I met for the first time a lady I have had some contact with via e-mail and phone, called Rioch Edwards-Brown. To hear what happened to her again, makes you wonder why, when people get it wrong and possibly deliberately hide paperwork they don’t get investigated or sacked? Maybe the system doesn’t bear up to close scrutiny?

If I had done that in the Police (hiding paperwork - deliberately to change a trial or a case), I would have been gone more likely than not, certainly investigated. But ‘experts’ involved in some HUGE child abuse cases from Rochdale, Cleveland, etc etc still keep their jobs? Do they get retrained? Do they apologise? Did Rioch get compensation for having to fight for 8 plus years - yes - £750. No doubt what one expert gets in one case? Well, that’s fair then………

Janet Ellis (a favourite on Blue Peter, remember making the Christmas Candle Holder, burnt down the whole terrace with that, happy days) asked me on the show, did we get any support and I had to say no, it all seemed stacked against you (The state just leave you in a state). I will have to sell the car very soon, to help out, which you don’t mind (as Keran had the thing covered in pink Seat covers - it really is no good for my image) needs must. But I should have said to Janet, of course all the support we had locally was superb and still is. The events that get organised are truly impressive, you could all set up an events company on the back of it!

Maybe there is a reason we have had to go through this, and that is to stop this happening to others. To all those that have been in touch, yet more Solicitors, Students, Police Officers, Friends old & new, Other Victims of Miscarriages here and abroad, Mothers & Fathers of children who have tragically fallen ill or died, God bless you all for taking a moment of your time to send your support.

Thanks for Caring

Iain

Update time again, well I have now seen a copy of the appeal and although it’s now day 113, I can’t believe its come round seemingly so fast. I say seemingly as no doubt for Keran it has dragged painfully at times.

But the ball is officially rolling; we now wait to see what the first wave makes of it, before it may go to a panel of Senior Judges, from there to a possible retrial or whatever.

The boys are pleased it has got to this stage, although we have had to tell them it could still take time. We have talked about it a fair bit but also they found time to mark Maeve’s sad passing the other day. We send out our heartfelt sympathies to Maeve’s family at this time. It is nice to see they feel strong enough now to have taken part in the upcoming Panorama programme. They have had a lot to cope with apart from the loss of their beloved daughter, but also the pain of the trial.

Panorama seem to have left no stone unturned in approaching all sorts of experts to make this programme. With everything going on, I missed until very recently a case where a Father has just been convicted of SBS in the South West, and no surprise that the names of the same experts cropped up again. So we will have to look into more details of that.

I have recently received lots of information from North America on the Goodge Enquiry on ‘Experts’. It is so scary how similar some cases are, and at the behaviour of some of the experts. One case this time from the States showed an ‘expert’ who should only do, by official guidelines 250-350 Autopsies was doing up to 1500-1800 a year as well as attending court, etc. It looks like they get a fee of $500 a job…surely that wasn’t the motive?

There does seem to be a sea change on the other side of the Atlantic and it is a tad bizarre that Canada followed our system….now maybe we should follow their lead? A Public enquiry into the use of experts with unproven theories would be a start. But this whole case starting with OFSTED, The Police, The CPS, Social Services, The National Childminding Association, certain issues at the first Prison all needs looking into from all angles as there were many things not done or done poorly. Possibly some things done well, we were done up like a kipper! But seriously there are gaps in the system that need closing to prevent people who may want to abuse children.

But first off the mercenary experts need to have time called on them, a lot are literally the ‘old guard’ and maybe it is time they were put out to pasture before anymore innocents get locked up. The most recent case was a Father, who next a Baby-sitter, a Grandparent, an Aunt? If you start with their training and checking out their backgrounds and CV’s show they are actually,

a. Who they say they are!
b. Trained in what they say they are!
c. Experienced - practically, ‘hands on.’

We may then weed out some straight away who shouldn’t even be considered.

There are other issues of course, nearly as big as the boys not being able to see their Mother on Mother’s Day (big thanks to Caroline for helping with the Mother’s Day pressie though). Another thing I must one day thank the experts et al for (list gets longer)! 113 Days away from her children and vice versa. Missing Christmas would be among the others.

We are looking at setting up ‘Expert’ watch soon, may even do it as a separate link, so if you know of what courts they are due to be operating in let us know. It’s funny when you track them, as they don’t always say the same things in different trials?! Can’t think why that would be…..

I know the politicians don’t always like referendums, public enquiries, etc. But they owe it to Sally Clark, whose death should be marked in every court in the land, annually, to remind all those that when the ’state’ and the ’system’ get it wrong they can be guilty of Noble Cause Corruption leading to the death of a Woman, badly let down is so many ways by them.

It is also hugely frustrating to me, every time I hear of the death of a British Serviceman, that those that send them into danger, under equipped through recklessness, negligence, etc. never ever seem to be punished. It’s a bit like the story of Celebs who do drugs, they never really seem to get arrested and charged and less likely to get sent to Prison…

Has British Justice become the best money can buy? Ask an expert…..if you can afford one….

Fiat Justicia

p.s.

Watch out for Cameron & Jamie’s Easter egg hunt for the little ones coming up soon, that’s if they (C&J) don’t eat them all the night before!

Also Family Fortunes style Quiz, thanks to everyone for all their hard work putting these events together. The Jumble Sale was fantastic (whoever did the Brownies and the Rock Cakes - you’re now my best friend, they were fantastic)!

There are lots of other bits and pieces coming up. If (rather when) Keran is released, name cleared, record cleared, DNA and prints shredded. We must keep going with all these events…as I have never been out so much! Usually not allowed out in public…scare the wildlife apparently!
