Sometimes you wonder what to write in the absence of news from the Court of appeal, well today its what not to mention!

Firstly I wonder if the Government won’t help us out of the financial hole we are in with the loss of Keran’s wage. I don’t need 50 Billion Quid…it would be nice, but that’s all gone to the bankers who will help us the home owners, no sorry it looks like they won’t! Funny how none of them are brave enough to be interviewed as to why they won’t either.

But I reckon when they still make their huge profits, they will pass them on to us the homeowners (well you can live in hope…not a house…but hope).

Sad news that the Mum who was caring for her 22 year old son was found dead today, her son as I write is still missing. Lets hope he is found safe and well. It is annoying me now that there is not a hell of a lot of support for carers out there. Just makes me want to do more. I did see there was a helpline called Carers Careline, it looks like there are carers out there.

Another lady of note is the Mrs Newlove who lost her husband after he was attacked by ‘yobs’ last year. She fights to stop this happening again. We as a society need to do more, the Police can only do so much, its our society, a lot of guardians of good manners and behaviour have been taken away, from Bus conductors to Park Keepers. Even the old Cinema ‘Field Marshals’ in their smart uniforms, who used to keep ‘good order’ have all gone (I of course don’t remember these characters I have seen them in old Ealing and Boulting Brothers Films…shown recently of course)!

The Police are called upon to deal with things that in days gone by the public or others would have dealt with. Broken families and lack of Broken Windows policies all have roles to play amongst many other things. Cotton Wool kids not allowed out, so some play video games and watch films that show gore at every opportunity (my God I have become Mary Whitehouse). Remember when you got scared by the Daleks and a rubber shark (Jaws), it was the imagination that provided the shocks, now we don’t even have to use our imaginations.

Anyway I go on too much, there are small officials out there doing there bit…to give people criminal records for having their bin over full….

I am still in East Germany aren’t I?

What the….no wonder the prisons are full…….

Onto issues a bit closer to home now though, I see Professor Southall, he who thinks he knows best by the sounds of it. Well, he has won an appeal to get reinstated…..hmmm can’t say I am surprised though. The same was done for Meadows.

Great job that, you can pretty much do what you like, covertly film people, even in the Police and Forces we had rules about surveillance and covert stuff was always very dodgy ground. Nowadays though EVERYONE can do surveillance for important stuff….hang on….sorry just had to empty the paper recycling box there was a bush outside with a camera and a log book….where was I….yeap that was it any body can now do surveillance tap your phone, check your e-mail’s follow you around.

If only these terrorists wouldn’t recycle then we would have em!

Southall also got up to various other things, my fav, was watching Steve Clark (Sally’s husband) on TV, then ringing the Police and saying apparently ‘it wasn’t Sally it was him.’ The Police then did their thing, what that family went through and have suffered since is truly disgusting and Southall had a part to play in that. Some people would have been done for wasting Police time!

Another thing I like when reading articles about this is how they say if you have a go at us we will take our ball in and stop doing work to protect children and then what will happen. The guilt trip is a cheap shot, nobody in their right mind would condone hurting children and there is a new body to help vet people working with kids and vulnerable adults, the ISA, they will be a single point of contact for the process, working with the likes of the CRB and Police.

So there are others out there including MP’s, the public, parents and carers who do look out for children (don’t forget the childminder reported Victoria Climbie’s aunt). I have done my bit to protect Doctors and nurses we sued to escort them at times (air ambulance crews mainly) and stay with them when they had violent patients.

But I would find it hard to defend experts like these who want us to believe they know best, without much real proof. I was interested to see one expert in our case has sat on the GMC’s panel when reviewing others…not sure it fills me with a lot of confidence, but the GMC does act at times, the courts seem to reinstate them though? Maybe its time all this changed. Some Doctors who caused much chaos, still suffered to this date in the child sex abuse cases of years back are still working. Who pays apart from the families, some of whom are only now seeing their children who were taken away from them…

Maybe they need to step back and reflect, maybe they are lost in the woods and forgot they were looking for trees?

But better news comes in the form of Sue Holdsworth’s appeal starting today, after meeting her partner and her daughter at Christmas, I wish them all the best and hope that justice finds them soon, it has been over 3 years now since she was taken away. Little Kyle the child she was accused of killing was clearly a sickly child even to the naked eye when you see the pictures and the investigation was not as thorough as it could have been.

One Officer left, I can imagine what went on, but she has stood up to be counted and I hope she finds it as liberating as I do, to speak out against injustice. She mentioned the job being about what you can disprove as well as prove, maybe that’s something that the target culture doesn’t like. She also said how colleagues may have found her irksome, injustice or irksome…come on chaps……….what’s worse?

Everyone can get things wrong the Government, the Police, the experts, you, me, everyone. I have got it wrong numerous times, I trusted that this would all have been cleared up ages ago, that the jury would see through the ‘opinions’, I also bought a top once that was down right awful……but that’s another story. But seriously, when they realise it is wrong they should sort it out a damn sight quicker……..

Meanwhile we still wait to hear.

Did discover what I suspected though a while back, the two QC’s (defence and prosecution) where from the same chambers, which is legitimate, but it did leave me wondering. That’s the trouble with being a copper for so long, suspicious minds about everything. Also discovered few other things of interest, but they can wait (my one fingered typing is taking its toll).

Keep you family close and you recycling squashed down tight!

p.s.

Food or Fuel? Interesting story about the world food shortage too, there was a meeting at No.10 I wonder how much of the buffet got thrown away afterwards?

It was sad when I was still in the old bill lots of supermarkets and the like would give away food at the end of the day to the homeless, they can’t do it anymore, Health & Safety, etc (or some such thing).

Nearly as sad as watching the Ex Forces and Homeless show after the news, veterans sleeping rough I have seen at first hand and not just British troops either. Sad there wasn’t much mention of the British Legion, SSAFA, RAFA and the rest. But it made me glad I still have a roof over my head.
