Christmas is coming!

Ho ho ho,

Christmas is coming and the turkeys are trying to book last minute flights out of the country!

Things here in the Henderson household are not too bad, still up and down, but that’s life. Bit better than your average Turkey’s future anyway!!

Been reading through lots of Christmas cards from you all, and I must say a big thank you to everyone, especially all those at F.A.C.T. who have written to Keran. We normally write several hundred cards each year, we try to cut down each year but for the few we lose we gain a few more. But due to the many and funds not being what they used to be we won’t be doing too many this year.

Apologies to those that don’t get one this year but we just can’t afford to and as friends, I am sure you appreciate that. Even the few we did send out amounted to a fair few bob. Its a shame but hopefully come next year we will be back on track and have many more friends to add to the list…Dagnabitt!!

I got my first Christmas present whilst at Scouts the other day (and no it wasn’t that I cancelled Scouts or they didn’t turn up), which was nice and its now got pride of place under the tree. So thank you to Santa’s little Scouter!

Sylvie and myself went over to Basildon Crown Court, to see another case like Kerans go on, as some of the same old names like Risdon, Richards and the like were there. Unfortunately they had decided to take a break that day and I missed them in action, shame, but they seem to like attending court, as do I, so will see them again soon. Can’t wait!!

It was funny as according to sources at the court a certain expert was sat there being quite dramatic, tutting and shaking his head and using other non verbal signs to show he was unhappy at an expert who was giving their evidence (who happened to disagree with him). Bit childish, but not unheard of, as we saw the same sort of thing at Reading Crown Court.

I just hope the Jury in the Mallinder case are happy that the experts actually do know what they are talking about and have PROVEN beyond all reasonable doubt that the lady is guilty. Lets hope that justice is done, for everyone’s sake.

We have just had friends down for the weekend who went into see Keran, which was lovely surprise for them, in more ways than one. Their first visit had been to HMP Bronzefield, not long after she was wrongly convicted. So they saw a fair change in her. It was so great having them down here we all enjoyed just chilling out and boy was it chilly.

One great thing about Bronzefield was you could wait inside and go straight through into the visit centre. That all seems so long ago, but it came up again (the other day)whilst waiting to get in as a fellow visitor waiting was saying how Bronzefield was a bit warmer whilst waiting! Mentioned all the team there to!

The boys are getting ready for the Christmas season, and even though it maybe one more without their mum at least its the last one without her around.

I can’t see the next date for the hearing turning up anytime soon, but as soon as Christmas is out of the way hopefully they will pick up the speed. It will seem stupid if Keran is out before they clear her name… but lets watch this space.
Then Christmas is truly here!
I haven’t watched the news for a while, but I did see the sad story of four more bootnecks (Royal Marines) lost their life’s whilst serving their country. They leave behind loved ones and friends days away from Christmas. My thoughts are with them all, I have the biggest respect for the Marines, who complete the worlds longest training in the world.
It was so sad after seeing their Marine (& Navy)colleagues helping Mr Jeremy Clarkson test the new Ford Fiesta Assault Hatchback in a full on Naval Assault, with Air Support,  the other day on Top Gear. One day all cars will be tested this way!
I have an idea to mark the troops bravery and the support thet get (think about bringing back the Royal tournament - instead of paying bankers and incompetent Social Service Bosses off) but can’t commit to it yet until I clear up this mess.
Anyway must go,  got to get ready for a busy week with school shows (yet another thing Keran will miss for the last time) and various other things coming up.
Remember those serving their country and those less fortunate.
May you all be touched by the spirit of Christmas future and not that of Christmas past!
Take care and remember  a turkey is for life and not just for Christmas (they really do last a long time, theirs curry, casserole, sandwiches, salads, pies, chili, etc etc etc)
