A really Happy New Year

I meant to say in the last ‘blog’ that Keran is only just getting to replying to letters sent in to her in December, so if you are expecting a letter, she is ploughing through the mountain and will get to you by Christmas 2010 I reckon!

I have just opened up an e-mail from an old school friend of Keran and myself and they have just been blessed with 2 baby boys, yesterday morning. So I am going to take that as a good sign for 2009. Welcome to the world J&F!

So many friends have had such bad years of late, or bad news in recent months that it really can’t last, like the credit crunch. There’s always good news out there, its just hidden at  times.

There was the news that the ex boss of a certain Social Services lost their appeal, about wrongful dismissal, should think so to! It’s usually the ’poor bloody infantry’ that get it in the neck. Mind you I hope they look into not giving people huge pensions especially when they make such grand cock-up’s.

Mind you I am not sure money is the right route for all things though, offering teachers £10,000 to stay at schools for 3 years. Maybe supporting them better, and trying to get not just the teachers but society to help set ground rules for our younger citizens maybe time better spent. Not sure where the Government are getting all this cash from….maybe they borrowed it from the banks?

So look for the good stuff that is out there somewhere in the world, and cherish the important things, like fast cars, a house in the South of France, Antigua and Los Angeles, a swiss bank account and….hang on sorry that was the 1980’s and 90’s version. Enjoy every breath you take….

Wasn’t that a song by the Police?

Iain

p.s.

Still no news…but, a day closer to Keran coming home
