What price justice?

Well we now know how much justice costs?

No I am not revealing yet how much certain experts make, that can wait.

But more to the point the fine Mr Seckerson the foreman of the jury received - 500 quid!

The Times was 15,000 pounds (not quid - it is the Times, come on).

Both you could say are quite low, and thats what I like about the judges at times, the messages they send out in the only way they can.

I know there has been some upset, and quite rightly at the sentences that the ‘mother’ (and her ‘friends’) of Baby P received. That was more down to they didn’t go for Murder or Manslaughter, even though there was at least 50 marks or injuries to the poor little lad. So they go for the lesser but easier to prove charge, therefore the judges can only go so far.

It really bugs me, lots of evidence, lowly charge, Kerans case…no evidence and go for Manslaughter…why don’t they get experts to look at Baby P, then maybe they will get something they are deserving of?!

I hear that Mr Seckerson is appealing against the sentence and hopefully the Times will too. Its only the cost of a second home allowance, but after all, its the principal of the thing. I just hope their appeals don’t take as long as ours, there are many other cases queuing up, maybe we should go all Canadian and review loads at the same time?
